Divine Union

Get a picture of this, and try to grasp the magnitude of what God the Father has accomplished on our behalf through Christ.

That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. John 17:21, 22, 23

When Jesus walked He would say, “If you have seen Me you have seen the Father.” We should be able to say, “If you have seen Me you have seen Jesus, and if you have seen Jesus, then you have seen the Father.” This is huge, wonderful, and a bit scary. We are a part of something that is much much bigger than what mere religion allows us to see.

“…that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.” John 17:26
