Has anyone ever told you that you were ‘hearing things’? Well, you should, if you are a Christian seeking the hand of God. Faith hears ‘things’ from God. That’s how we get ‘things’ from Him, we hear them first in our heart.
but just as it is written,”THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND WHICH HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN,ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM.” (10) For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. I Corinthians 2:9.10
God has the things we desire already prepared and waiting for us. The things God has for us are now residing in His heart waiting to be sought out. He then communicates them to our heart. Before we receive from God, He first reveals it to our heart by the Holy Spirit – revealing precedes receiving.
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, I Corinthians 2:12
The things of God do not come through human hearing, seeing, or understanding. They come by the Spirit, and only by the Spirit.
But a natural (merely intellectual) man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. I Corinthians 2:14
Faith hears things from God. The things we hear are the things we get – if we stand in faith sufficient until the end.
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. Romans 10:17
And this faith brings to us the things we desire of Him.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)
Who said faith has nothing to do with ‘things’? Faith is the medium by which we are to receive all things from God. But to receive things from God we must believe.
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Mark 11:24 (KJV)
Believing takes hearing, and hearing takes seeking, and seeking takes diligence. Go get to work.

Oh, I forgot to mention that the enlightenment/revelation in our hearts is God telling us personally and specifically that we have what we have been seeking to receive from God.
You know I studied the word “faith,” and because “believing and faith” are/can be general in referring to what we believe or how we believe. I have found it easier to refer to the “faith” that God is looking for in our hearts is “Pistis” (Greek). “PIST” means to be persuaded or to persuade (comes from root word Peitho). This is the “faith” that comes only from God. God divinely persuades us that what he says about our situation (through scriptures–His Word) is true When this enlightenment/revelation occurs in our hearts…there is “Pistis.” It is “Pistis” that pleases God. In other words, the fact that we belief God’s Word is what pleases him. Yes, many think that if you believe the promises of God…you will receive the promises of God. Oh, but we lack one thing…the faith (“Pistis”) to receive the promises. I am so enjoying the articles you have been posting. I know the Lord led me to discovering this site so that my knowledge of “Pistis” and his Word abound in my heart.
