(Or, put another way – Believing is hearing from God and acting on what you have been told. Faith is the noun form, and believe is the verb form of the same Greek word.)
“Therefore, keep up your courage, men, for I believe God that it will turn out exactly as I have been told. Acts 27:25
Romans 10:17 says that ‘faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.’ You can’t know the will of God without first hearing it. And you will not receive the will of God without first believing it. Only in this way will you receive ‘His will being on earth, as it is (already) in Heaven.’ Faith is based on the will of God, and it comes to you from God by hearing it in your heart. The sound of faith is the sound of the word on the page becoming the word in your the heart. See these articles for more information:

Receiving faith is simple. You just plant His word in your heart and wait on Him until you ‘hear.’
