Faith is not trustful acquiescence, but rather, it is a direct conscious application of the heart and will of God to a willfully disobedient world. It is taking the Word of God (and by it the power of God) and determinately and purposely applying it, first to your own life, and then to your world.
Natural laws, the world’s evil, and sin’s effects are not part of a closed unchangeable system, created and maintained by God Himself. They are a temporary overlay of evil, which must be actively resisted. The miracles of Jesus in the Gospels were but visible examples of God’s assault upon the sin, sickness, and death of this world, and according to Jesus’ commandments, we are to continue on with this effort.
Evil must be aggressively overcome. Jesus ‘went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil.’ His motivation was to actively and consistently save all He could, heal all He could, and deliver all He could. Faith, John says, ‘overcomes the world.’ Faith in God disrupts and interrupts the current natural course of things and supplants it with a heavenly alternative. For a moment in time, the Kingdom of Heaven replaces the world of time.

Yes, the word of God is where the power of God comes. What are your thoughts on the below scripture.
1 Corinthians 1 (King James Version) 18 for the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
Seems like the power of God comes from preaching of the cross which is the word of God. Also seems like this is the means where the power of God comes for Christians. Other scriptures show knowing the power of His resurrection.
Philippians 3 (King James Version) 10 that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
Paul does not say the power for the Christian comes from the resurrection but talks about knowing of this power. Stepping back and wondering what the power of the resurrection is would be a good question. Could it be the cross is where the source of His power is? Because of Jesus finished work on the cross, a pleased God’s power of the cross also lead to resurrection of Jesus with this power of the cross? In other words the resurrection had no other power other than the power of the cross. Also seems like the power of the Holy Spirit for Christians comes from the finished work of Jesus on the cross. I searched scriptures and could not find any scripture that says the God power for Christians comes other than preaching the cross.
