Raising the dead is not a big deal?! That’s the way the Bible seems to present it. The Bible mentions several instances where people were raised from the dead. Each time it is portrayed as if it was an everyday occurrence. Maybe raising the dead, or for that matter a miracle of any kind, was a much more common occurrence than we have thought. In the Gospel of John, it says that if all the things that Jesus did were ever fully written about, the world itself could not contain all the books that it would take. Miracles were common, and were core to the Gospel’s message and intent. The Bible is clear and consistent throughout – if you have faith, nothing is a big deal.
If you have faith, nothing is a big deal. Getting the faith is the big deal.
The following are three recorded instances where Jesus raised someone from the dead:
Jairus’ Daughter – Jairus, a leader of a local Synagogue pleads for Jesus to heal his gravely ill child. On the way to his home they are interrupted by another healing. During this time, they hear that the girl has died. Jesus is not concerned. He calms the father’s fears and continues on. Once at the home, He takes the girl by the hand and wakes her up. For Him it is comfortable and natural, but of course, for those around Him it is astonishing. (See Matthew 9:18 – 26, Mark 5:22 – 43, Luke 8:41 – 56)
Funeral Procession – While entering a neighboring town, Jesus happens to come across a funeral procession for the only son of a local widow. Upon seeing her, He feels compassion and stops the procession. He tells the man to get up, and he does. The text then simply states that, ‘He gave the young man back to his mother’. (See Luke 7:11 – 17)
Lazarus – Jesus loves Lazarus and his family, but after hearing of his illness, He waits two full days before going to his side. By the time He arrives in Bethany, Lazarus has been dead for four days. Apparently, He chose to raise him from the dead instead of healing him. Once at the grave site, He prays publicly to show the people that the Father is His source of authority, and then proceeds to call him out of the grave. (See John 11:1 – 44)
Jesus at times seemed oblivious to the circumstances around Him, but He always paid full attention to what He heard from the Father and what He knew from scripture. He fully submitted to them, and as we submit to them, we can do the same. After His resurrection He commanded His disciples, “To bring the dead back to life” – Matthew 10:8, and Mark 16:17 – 20. This miraculous ability was communicated on to man. The Bible is clear; resurrection power is not confined solely to Jesus, or even to the original Apostles, but it is for all those who can believe and will believe.
See how Paul describes the maximum amount of power available to those who believe:
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, (19) and and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, (20) which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, (21) far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. Ephesians 1:18-21
Both Peter and Paul raised people from the dead:
Peter Raises Dorcas – Two days after the death of a prominent local woman Peter is summoned. He arrives, prays, and then tells her to get up – simple, short, and to the point. Just like Jesus, no fanfare, just faith released through a command.
Paul in Troas – While Paul (not one of the original twelve Apostles) is teaching late one night a young man falls asleep and then falls from a third story window. He is picked up dead, but once Paul goes to him and embraces him, he declares that, “his life is in him.”
None of these instances were long and drawn out affairs. They simply commanded the people to wake up or get up, and they did. In addition to these instances, both Elijah and Elisha brought people back from the dead.
I’ve heard missionaries say that it is easier to raise the dead in a third world country than raise money, and easier to raise money in the USA than raise the dead. We know missionaries in third-world countries that do it regularly, although it has gotten much hard in the last few years.
You seem to get what you have faith for, and you have faith for that which you are willing to seek Him. It is as simple at that. The big question, and the only question is – Do you have faith; did God speak to you? If you have the faith, nothing is a big deal. Seek and hear from Him. On raising the dead, you must truly hear from God, and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Everyone on here please do not give up hope on God to bless you with this miracle. If God spoke to you in your heart that He is going to resurrect your loved on then that is what He is going to do. We all have waiting seasons. Gods word says that nothing is impossible for Him. When He says that, nowhere in the Bible does He say “Nothing is impossible except this or that”. No all He says is nothing is impossible. We serve a limitless God. There are testimonies out there of God resurrecting. Even this week alone I read testimony of a boy that was resurrected after being buried for 2 years and in the same article they referenced a woman that was resurrected as well and both were confirmed with dna. Let’s take the limits off God. And we also have to realize that in the times that we are living in we are going to see even more miracles. Ephesians 3:20 says He can do exceedingly and abundantly more than we can ever ask or imagine by the power that is within us. Let’s stop limiting God. Let’s not doubt Him whatsoever. Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man that He should lie.” As Sandra said let’s walk by faith and not by sight.

You’re welcome. A miracle can happen for you. Gods word says in Romans that He is not a respecter of persons. You just have to have faith and not doubt. Don’t limit Him. Just because it hasn’t happened yet does not mean that it won’t. Even in the past few weeks on this prayer wall 1 person testified that they have seen tons of miracles and knows someone that was brought back from death 5 times and another said they prayed for a dead baby that came back and is alive. Those are tangible testimonies. Keep the faith. Don’t give up on God. He is a rewarder of faith. ??

Please tell me someone has experienced a miracle. It’s been a really bad week worse than usual. I’m not sure if it’s the Holidays coming up or not but I feel like giving up. I’m really struggling. I was always so happy and grateful for my life. I always thanked god for all that I had and only asked to please keep my family happy healthy and safe. I know we are supposed to have faith and never give up but every morning when I wake up reality hits me and crushes me all over again. Why would god take our loved ones before their time? Why make us suffer for this long? I’m sorry I am being very negative and down I just don’t think I can do this anymore. I do believe in god but I hate to say this but not sure he still does miracles anymore. I think we’re all on our own. If anyone can help inspire me and let me know you’ve received a sign I would appreciate it. I don’t mean to discourage anyone just like I said having a really hard time lately.

I’m sorry you are so discouraged. Abraham, Jonah, Jeremiah, etc. at one time or another became discouraged also. King David had some discouragement. When he and his men left their settlement one time, the enemy came in and took everything. His men wanted to kill him. He prayed about it, encouraged himself in the Lord, pursued the enemy, and brought everything back. Nobody is immune to discouragement. As far as miracles go, I’ve received healing from cancer, carpel tunnel syndrome, stabbing hip pain, painful shoulder. I know someone who was healed of a broken leg after they received prayed. I know another person who’s neck was healed immediately after prayer. Another person recovered after having been hit by a truck. They died 5 times, had over twenty bones broken. He was a preacher. He now continues to preach because of answers to prayer. I’ve had multiple answers to prayer. Get hold of the scriptures that build faith. Read faith building stories. Get baptized in the Holy Spirit, and have a quality prayer life. It’s practice. All the great evangelists that had mighty miracles in their ministries spent a lot of time in prayer and fasting. There are no short-cuts.

My little dog who is my only family died three weeks ago and I have been praying and crying to God to send her back to me. @Dasia and AnnetteAjay. Yes the devil really attacked yesterday because it was a dedicated fast and/or prayer day. he always does that to get us to give up. Thing is, if we feel in our heart that God has told us He’s bringing our loved one back we hv to hold on to that. I hv my days too. My hubby was not ready to go. Freak accident. 42 yrs old. Together for 24 years since we were teens. I get the pain everyone on here feels. Our kids hurt like crazy and so do I. But I hold onto the signs God has given me when I ask for them. One scripture that popped in my head this morning is in Psalm where David says why so downcast oh my soul and he goes on to say he will hope in the Lord. If we believe God is gonna do this we hv to keep fighting the devil with praise and worship to our almighty God. Yes we’re gonna have down days but we have to fight back and keep trusting and believing. Doubting only restarts the clock on our miracle coming because we have to start trusting all over again.

My 28th wedding anniversary is tomorrow. When we had our day of fasting and praying I thought what a great time for a miracle for all of those who have lost there loved ones before their time. I have asked god for signs when praying but have not heard anything. I always pray to god that it be his will to return my husband back. It wasn’t his time to go. The situations are certainly very strong grounds for me to feel this way and I also believe yours are similarly good grounds.

I’m trying to keep the faith and praying everyday for all of us. It seems to be getting harder and harder as time passes by. Please pray for my husband to return. Me and my boys need him back home. I’m praying that he wants to come home. I hope I’m not being selfish asking for him to come back.

Everyone’s relationship with God is different so I can only say when I ask God for signs He has spoken by letting me see a particular verse or a dream etc. when you do ask for a sign it should be a silent prayer to God though. And don’t put a time limit on when you expect to see the sign. As far as fasting. There’s all diff kind. 1 day fast. 3 days. 21 days. 7 days. The Daniel fast etc. Esther did a 3 day. But it should be fasting from food. Only having water or you can do a dry fast with no water. Most important is to hear from God as to whether He’s calling you to fast and pray and if He is calling you to do that the time that you would spend prepping and eating your meal should be completely dedicated to prayer. Not that you shouldn’t be praying throughout the day but those specific times should be devoted to Him. Most importantly seek God and let Him talk to you

Same here he was 24 went back home to help his mother in St. Louis got murderd by a 21 year old. I miss him everyday, I had times when I would break down and cry he didn’t deserve that. I always ask god to give me strength, I talk to god how much I love him and How I look forward to his resurrection. His daughter Delilah is only 3 she askes for her dad and say I love you daddy. It breaks my heart to see her like that.

@All. I did some praying last night about the praying and fasting thing and this is what came on me after praying. I was thinking how about all of us plan a weekly fast and pray day together say either Thursday or Friday for the full 24 hours so water only for that time. If anyone is not able to fast for health reasons or other concerns they could just dedicate prayer time during that 24 hours. But at least we would know that’s a day where we would all be united? We could even start this coming week? And we can keep doing for as long as anyone wants to?

@Anna and@AnnetteAjay. Praise God for giving you that dream Anna! If you asked for a sign and got that dream after I truly believe that’s from the Lord. @AnnetteAjay. Yes the Holy Spirit can perform miracles. There’s a Bible verse I think it’s Job 11:7 that says can we even probe or fathom what God can do or His limits.
This is so true. If we even look outside and see everything that He created. Even look at the grass or the petals on a flower. Each so intricate. Every piece of grass or petals. Or the leaves on a tree. God did that. How He separated land from water. And those are just a few things. If He can do that, He definitely can bring our loved ones back. God has no limits. I will share 2 verses with you all. When I was feeling down yesterday I went on a prayer wall to pray for others and someone posted the below verses about having faith. The verses totally snapped my sadness out of my mind and gave me that boost to keep having faith. I hope they encourage everyone.

@Erin. Yes I get signs. God has given me tons of vivid dreams when I ask for signs and also I get a lot of prayer alerts for prayer requests I sent 2 months ago. I always get them when I tell God I’m ready to give up. I end up getting a prayer alert. What about you Erin? Do you try signs? I know on here you posted about seeing white feathers before.
@Mct The feathers was the biggest one…I have seen a few more since.
Wow…I just asked God to send me a feather now as a sign. I went to the back door and there was one stuck in the screen right at eye level. There was also another small one in a different spot. I am amazed and humbled.
@Erin. Praise the Lord for that. So glad you saw another feather. I think biggest thing is what we have to keep believing in God’s power and thank Him for signs. So many people in Bible had their miracles delayed because of doubt. We cannot let the enemy get us to doubt.

Hello, @Ana I had been told the same thing about my boyfriend who was murderd at 24 when he went back home to help his mother. Yes it was very hurtful, It hurt me really bad how people can be so negative and believe that god can’t raise the dead. Which is not true Jesus is not done raise the dead, there no time limit. I can’t wait for god to ressurect my boyfriend and bring him back to life on this earth. God will do the same for you to bring back your husband. Stay blessed and keep your faith I know it’s hard, but god and his Angels got are back against the devil and his demons.

I lost my husband July 2020 from a freak accident from a fall. I have gone through periods of time thinking god will bring him back. It wasn’t his time and his family needs him here. I have prayed constantly. Then I get really discouraged thinking why would god make us wait this long for a miracle. Wouldn’t he do it already if he wanted to. Why make us suffer this long. Then I read everyone’s posts and realize there are so many of us praying and believing for miracles. I hope god answers all our prayers. I won’t stop praying and believing it’s just getting harder the more that time passes. Please pray for my husband to return as I will be praying for all of you.

@Laura. I will keep you in my prayers. Don’t give up. My spouse has been gone for 3 months now. Motorcycle accident. I get those days too when I think why God why is it taking so long. But then I feel hope in my spirit and realize God can do absolutely anything. When the Bible says nothing is impossible for God it means nothing. It doesn’t put a limitation on Him. Joseph had to wait. Abraham and Sarah had to wait. Elizabeth had to wait. King David had to wait. I know it’s hard but we absolutely cannot give up on God and what He put in our heart to pray for. I think that the fact that there are so many of us on here praying for our loved ones to come back goes to show that this is absolutely God can do. Let’s continue to pray and trust in Him ?? God loves to show up and show out and when we ask for big things that gives Him joy.

But we have to remember that God can do it. Delay does not mean God is saying no. Please don’t let your faith waver. James 1:6-7 says not to let our faith waver because a man that does should not expect to receive anything from God. I have my moments where I get so down and cry and ask God when He’s gonna bring my spouse back and I tell God I can’t hold on anymore and that I’m done trusting Him but then I get my faith right back up and push on. Because if we truly believe God can do anything we have to hold on. I read a news article of a woman that fasted and prayed for 2 months with the pastors at her church and her husband was resurrected because of it. I also read a news article of a family that weeped over their father and he came back 7 months later. These were news articles. This shows that God can do it and He is a miracle worker. If we have the faith God can do it then He will. The devil is a liar. Job 11:7 says can we probe the limits of God. He is so ready to do signs miracles and wonders. We just have to keep believing and I’m sure if we’re all praying for each other and speaking life to what we’re believing for God will let our dreams manifest and answer us with a yes. We just absolutely cannot give up.

@Jalaya. Yes look them up. There from a few years ago around 2016/2017 so they’re kinda recent. I’m sure there are quite a few more articles out there than the ones I mentioned. You just have to search for them. I’m sure there are a lot more miracle stories of loved ones being resurrected too that aren’t even posted out there online because I’m sure a lot of people don’t give their testimony for fear that others would think they’re crazy. One thing I do know is that God put it in our hearts to pray for our spouses to return because He can do it. If He wasn’t able to do it He wouldn’t give us the strength to keep praying for them to come back home. And He can do absolutely anything. I know that has to be certain. We just cannot doubt at all. Everyday I wake up thanking God and having visions of how things will be when my spouse comes home and thanking God that He’s going to let my dreams and visions manifest.

Hi Annette, Have you tried asking God for a sign? I asked for a sign that He would answer my prayer and make this come to pass. When I left church, there were white feathers all over the parking lot, including one right next to my car. God speaks to us in many ways…we just have to ask and listen. Hope that helps you. ❤️
@Erin. That is so good advice. God has given me signs too. We all have to keep holding on and trust and believe God can do this. We are at the end times and during the end times God says He will perform signs miracles and wonders which includes raising the dead.

As I woke up this morning feeling discouraged I did get my faith back in believing God to bring my spouse back. I declare that he will live by the grace of God. I wanted to post 2 scriptures that God brought me to this morning to encourage any of you that may come to this blog. Please stay encouraged and have faith that God will bring our loved ones back to us. God bless you all.

Psalmsc30 was the last chapter he had read in church before the devil took him away. It says that what good will to be if he’s in the grave. He will not be able to praise Him work for Him.

His word says in Acts 26:8 why is it hard to believe God can raise the dead. He most certainly can. He is the God of all things possible. Another way to lift your spirits is a pastor Curry Blake, and also Smith Wigglesworth. You can search them up on YouTube. They have tons of testimonies of bringing back the dead through faith in God. There’s also another video out there I think on Sid Roth channel of a pastor that raised a baby from the dead that was dead in their mother’s womb for a whole year due to witchcraft. There are so many testimonies. I’ll be continuing to pray over you as well as everyone else on this blog. We cannot doubt. God put it in our hearts to pray for this miracle and He put it in our hearts because He can do it. Be blessed ??

Praying for all of us every single day that have posted here asking God to bring our loved ones back. Remember God can do the impossible. He is hearing our prayers and will bring them back to us because we have faith for it. Nothing is impossible for the almighty Father God.
