Raising the dead is not a big deal?! That’s the way the Bible seems to present it. The Bible mentions several instances where people were raised from the dead. Each time it is portrayed as if it was an everyday occurrence. Maybe raising the dead, or for that matter a miracle of any kind, was a much more common occurrence than we have thought. In the Gospel of John, it says that if all the things that Jesus did were ever fully written about, the world itself could not contain all the books that it would take. Miracles were common, and were core to the Gospel’s message and intent. The Bible is clear and consistent throughout – if you have faith, nothing is a big deal.
If you have faith, nothing is a big deal. Getting the faith is the big deal.
The following are three recorded instances where Jesus raised someone from the dead:
Jairus’ Daughter – Jairus, a leader of a local Synagogue pleads for Jesus to heal his gravely ill child. On the way to his home they are interrupted by another healing. During this time, they hear that the girl has died. Jesus is not concerned. He calms the father’s fears and continues on. Once at the home, He takes the girl by the hand and wakes her up. For Him it is comfortable and natural, but of course, for those around Him it is astonishing. (See Matthew 9:18 – 26, Mark 5:22 – 43, Luke 8:41 – 56)
Funeral Procession – While entering a neighboring town, Jesus happens to come across a funeral procession for the only son of a local widow. Upon seeing her, He feels compassion and stops the procession. He tells the man to get up, and he does. The text then simply states that, ‘He gave the young man back to his mother’. (See Luke 7:11 – 17)
Lazarus – Jesus loves Lazarus and his family, but after hearing of his illness, He waits two full days before going to his side. By the time He arrives in Bethany, Lazarus has been dead for four days. Apparently, He chose to raise him from the dead instead of healing him. Once at the grave site, He prays publicly to show the people that the Father is His source of authority, and then proceeds to call him out of the grave. (See John 11:1 – 44)
Jesus at times seemed oblivious to the circumstances around Him, but He always paid full attention to what He heard from the Father and what He knew from scripture. He fully submitted to them, and as we submit to them, we can do the same. After His resurrection He commanded His disciples, “To bring the dead back to life” – Matthew 10:8, and Mark 16:17 – 20. This miraculous ability was communicated on to man. The Bible is clear; resurrection power is not confined solely to Jesus, or even to the original Apostles, but it is for all those who can believe and will believe.
See how Paul describes the maximum amount of power available to those who believe:
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, (19) and and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, (20) which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, (21) far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. Ephesians 1:18-21
Both Peter and Paul raised people from the dead:
Peter Raises Dorcas – Two days after the death of a prominent local woman Peter is summoned. He arrives, prays, and then tells her to get up – simple, short, and to the point. Just like Jesus, no fanfare, just faith released through a command.
Paul in Troas – While Paul (not one of the original twelve Apostles) is teaching late one night a young man falls asleep and then falls from a third story window. He is picked up dead, but once Paul goes to him and embraces him, he declares that, “his life is in him.”
None of these instances were long and drawn out affairs. They simply commanded the people to wake up or get up, and they did. In addition to these instances, both Elijah and Elisha brought people back from the dead.
I’ve heard missionaries say that it is easier to raise the dead in a third world country than raise money, and easier to raise money in the USA than raise the dead. We know missionaries in third-world countries that do it regularly, although it has gotten much hard in the last few years.
You seem to get what you have faith for, and you have faith for that which you are willing to seek Him. It is as simple at that. The big question, and the only question is – Do you have faith; did God speak to you? If you have the faith, nothing is a big deal. Seek and hear from Him. On raising the dead, you must truly hear from God, and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.

What a great day to read your messages of hope.
I just want to know if you can share testimonies of people being raised nowadays so that we will all be more encouraged and strengthened our faith.
We all.missed our loved ones already and one way of keeping the faith is to have n assurance that it will happen though sometimes I cant deny that am losing hope. Maybe because of too much grief. Every minute I am thinking about my dead loved one.
The pain is unbearable. There are times that I want to scream because of too much longing to see him. I only find comfort everytime am reading your post thinking I am not alone.

While praying, uncover his chest and abdomen area or remove his shirt. While praying, most of the times there will be some movement like a irregular or faint hear beat or his stomach showing signs of intermittent breathing.
Prayers have to be Continous, consistent and with full faith. Even the most experienced preachers who raise the dead spend from 45 mins to all the way upto 7 hours.

How to pray a cremated body to be raised from the dead? because I read that most of the dead being raised is with the presence of the body.
Once cremated…is there are a possibility?
Cremation rejects the very Authority of God over his creation. As we are looking to raise the dead, if it’s under the order and how we were created it will be easier for the ask. Because we were created by God through Dust and to Dust we return.
Resurrection happens only through burial.
Even the martyrs who were burned during persecution, their body remains (bones, charred flesh and other remains) were brought from that site and proper burial rights were performed.
Now many people with ignorance follow hashtag trend of Go green, save nature, human compost and all other nonsense, it is really hard (doesn’t mean its impossible) to raise the dead.
When it comes to Jesus, who is seated at the right hand of the father, who has the keys of both the dead and Hell can do greater things and enables those who follow him and worship God the father through Jesus will allows us/those believers with authority to ask for greater things as per his great magnificence.
Verdict: all things are possible with God, nothing is Impossible with him and no case is too hard for him. He can call things and things can appear out of nowhere.
But who can do these things is a question.
Without being closer to God it’s not possible
Without the holy spirit it will be hard to get proper guidance to perform step by step process
Without the faith we cannot do anything.
Build faith, get to know God, get closer to God, Have a personal holy relationship with God and you can ask WHATSOEVER and God will give it to you.
Whatsoever is Vast unending open ended option.
Get closer to God, so such sorrowful things won’t happen.

Keep praying Jonah. We have all been waiting for a long time but that does not mean that God is incapable of performing the miracle. Hold onto God’s word and promises in the Bible. He says repeatedly that nothing is too hard for Him.

Since this Group is special and different from the rest and believes in something Impossible form God, Let this message be for all those who really wants their family member back.
1) Only through God it is possible to raise a person or bring a person back into existence. You can’t do with some random small 1 minute prayer chits, spells and voodoo.
2) Get close to God and see what is stopping you to get his help or what is stopping your prayers to reach heaven. And then present your case to God and he will do it for you.

Hello Everyone , I’m Seeking Prayers for my Fiance to be raised back to Life his Body to be Completely Healed so he can be on Earth with us again , his name Is Dominic Quintin Casimiro his 40 Years Old He Passed Away on February 26 2023 around 7:00am He Left Behind his 5 Year Old Son. He Is Such a Good Man and Father he Loves His Family he Loves Life He was In the Hospital for Two Months Fighting for His Life and Fight Soo so Hard but he never gave Up Hope he Prayed and had Faith that God would Heal him. The Holy Spirit: Beyond any command and the usage of powerful name of Jesus, we still need the main power source. The same spirit source which raised Jesus christ from the dead. Without the holy spirit we can do nothing.
Faith: When the situation and your case is no and just because of your faith God will now says yes. Elijah prayed seven times and every time he made gehazi to look out in the sky if the rain is coming. The same way he slept over the dead boy’s body with many attempts and finally brought him back. Sometimes it takes several attempts and this should not make you lose hope and star mourning giving up on God.
When the spirit of God dwells within you: when the spirit of the Sovereign Lord dwells within you, it all happens within a fraction of a second when it comes to raising the dead. No need for lengthy prayers and procedures, just by touching the body and saying “Arise or come forth” can bring a person dead.

Not sure where to go from here. I prayed with everyone at 8:30am for a week. Asking for god to please bring back all of our loved ones. Giving them a second chance. I am so discouraged and have not prayed for that since. I still pray but now I ask God to help me get through this grief. I’m sorry but I can no longer get my hopes up that my husband will come back. So grateful to find this blog post and the comments. Many believers do not believe in miracles or that it’s God will for people to die prematurely which is false!
I will join in with the prayers and please add our precious baby Isaiah. He passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on January 1st 2023 at only two months old.
God has shown me countless times it was the enemy that stole him as according to John 10:10. Jesus came to give us life abundantly.
I’m continually given leadings, promptings and confirmations from God to believe in his resurrection. Nothing is too hard or impossible with God and all things are possible if we can believe.
It hasn’t happened yet but with each passing day, through the power of the Holy Spirit, my faith and determination grows. There is no expiration date to His promises and I will continue to believe as He hasn’t once shown me to give up.
I’ve asked many times which direction to move in I.e accept and mourn or hold on. The answers remain the same. Hebrews 11 has become my go to again as well. I keep praying for the childlike faith to see this miracle manifest physically at the appointed time.

I am still praying and believing that god will bring my boyfriend back to life Jonathan Joseph Nahrstedt He was murdered at only 24 years old, in Missiouri. He went back home to help his family. He was a shot by a 21 year old. The person who killed my boyfriend is dead.
I hear my boyfriend favorite song playing in someone car. I don’t know if that a sign, his spirit is always with me everyday. I pray to god I tell god I know you will raise him from the dead.
His mother cremated him, she has his ashes. I was heartbroken when she destroyed his body, I was like how is he supposed be raise from the dead.

“The big question, and the only question is – Do you have faith; did God speak to you?” … That’s how the blog post these comments are under ends. I seem to have been so desperate for a miracle that when I first read this blog post almost 2 years ago, I missed the “big question” the author of the post asked. So this begs the the question: Did God speak to me? Did God tell me personally to pray for this specific person to come back to life? I know He can and is able do all things. The Word says so. But it doesn’t say He will do all things does it? I know I prayed trusting His Word that all I ask for in His name, believing I received it, it will be so. But what if for this prayer, He decided to answer no and I keep asking Him for it, instead of listening to Him. Did He speak to me to tell me go and pray without ceasing that Matt will come back to life? I know He has heard every single one of us. He’s heard all of our pleadings. And I share your pain of not seeing my beloved friend, whom I miss so much not come back to his family and friends. I regret forever not reaching out to him in time. We lost contact for a long while and every day I thought of him. I loved him and for difficult reasons I had to separate from him. It’s been almost 4 years since he passed. I remember when I prayed the first time for God to give him another chance to live… I thought I wasn’t worthy of asking Him to give him life again because I wasn’t living according to his will. I repented and continued praying for this request. Sometimes I stop praying about it and then I go back and talk to God about it again. How long will I be waiting? Did I hear God telling me to pray for Matt to come back to life or was it my human emotions making me desperate to change something the Sovereign one decided not to change? I ask God to heal my heart if that’s what I need. May God answer these questions and help me be okay with whatever His Sovereign decision is. Please pray for me.

Thank you for sharing. My take is that not everyone who has lost someone beautiful in their lives go to Jesus for a miracle. When Jesus was in this world only those who went to him begging for a request recieved their miracle and He never sent any of these people empty handed. So also I firmly believe that if our requests touches His compassionate heart we too will not return empty handed.

I will pray for all of you. Please pray that my husband David will come back. It’s been over 2 years now and I’m really discouraged. I’m not sure if I can keep doing this. I’m praying everyday several times a day and try to hear from God but just get silence in return. I truly believe that gos does miracles but not sure if this is one of them. I’m sorry if I’m being negative just don’t know how much longer I can keep this up. I’m not able to heal because I get such overwhelming sadness when I wake up everyday to my new reality. Trying to figure out what Gods reason is. I hear of all these NDE’s from people that were told it’s not your time and get sent back. I know it wasn’t David’s time , he was only 51 and died from medical malpractice after an accidental fall. Why wasn’t he told it’s not your time. Where were his guardian angels looking out for him. Every word you have written is the same as I am going through. It’s been over 2 years and I am also losing hope. Every waking hour I am pleading to the Lord for a miracle and to bring back Ajay to life. But there’s just this deafening silence from above. I really need a miracle even if it means to exchange my life for his. At least my children will be happy to see their father back. Ajay was also the same age when this happened. I have been praying ever since. The Lord has always answered me when ever I had cried to Him in tears. But this time I do not know why He hasn’t bothered to answer. People say that his time on earth was only that much. Then why did Jesus raise Lazarus from the dead? Why Jarius’ daughter? He was moved to compassion when he saw their tears. He prayed to the Father and He answered Him.

Miracles were only at the time n were only for the moses n Apostles not for a normal human being.
Even though God is all capable n all powerful he is the only one who turns impossible into possible still prayers tears, begging for things to happen doesn’t work as no prayers are answered nowadays neither Miracles takes place.
I’m also going through same pain even I want my loved one to come back and praying all day n night since days for this miracle to happen but as like I said resurrection is now just next to impossible.. these are left like just a stories in Books of Bible or Quran..

Yesterday was our wedding anniversary. I really was praying for a miracle since 10 days but that did not happen. It sometimes feels like a fool’s desire to expect something to happen after 2 years. Are miracles true? Is science true? Is it just that the mind does not want to accept the fact that this is next to impossible? I am not able to understand. The word of God says in John 14:12-14, “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.” These words were said by our Lord Jesus before He ascended into heaven. I have been hanging on to this promise for 2 years, but then why hasn’t a miracle happened so far? Is this miracle for a few of his favorite ones like Martha and Mary? Or can such a miracle happen today too for each of us who have laid our faith at His feet in total?
Hi Annette, I totally understand why you feel that way at times. Its really really hard. But I choose to keep believing that God will bring him back home soon. Honestly it’s the only thing that keeps me going. I will not stop having faith/believing that it is possible because God is the same today as he was yesterday and before years years ago. I know it can sound crazy especially to others. But I will keep praying for my fiancés return until the day that I see him again. And I will keep praying even after. I know how you feel. I feel the same way. My husband passed away a year ago. I been praying for a miracle as well. When I told my mother I was praying for another opportunity to have my husband back she immediately said – that’s impossible. But I can’t wrap my mind around impossible next to God. He can do the impossible. I have moments like you that I feel down or even asking myself if I’m praying correctly or is correctly praying for this miracle. But then later I start seeing all these signs – in church saying God can do the impossible, messages saying ask for what your heart wants. Last week I saw another person saying – pray Big , be Bold For God nothing is impossible. I keep having the same vision looking at myself leaving the hospital with my husband. And I go back to get that faith. Sometimes I feel that is also my mistake because we cannot loose the faith because is like saying that we do not believe if God will do our miracle. I know Gods time is not ours and I also heard that we need to visualize that miracle been done to the point we can feel the joy that is done. I believe we need to continue praying for the desire of our heart, been thankful he continues to keep us strong to continue and be the person he wants us to be. All day I try to be in communion with God. When I’m in my car, cleaning the house etc I play Joyce Meyer podcast all the time and listen to Gods word. I follower her to read the daily devotional . Also I’m part of the Facebook group called – stay encourage from Joel Osteen. Going to church. I believe we are going thru so much pain that I need definitely to stay encouraged because I miss my husband so much. I feel shattered and I lost half of me. All this is helping me to keep in communion with God, don’t loose the faith that God will work miracles at the time he believes we are ready. Believe me i want to see it today and sometimes desperation arrives but then I go back and pray to God telling him – you know my heart and forgive me because I know you are handling everything for me. I’m glad I found someone I can talk about this. I pray for all of us that God listen to our prayers and guide us.

I wish my mother will pray with me but she believes is an impossible. But I will continue to follow God the kings of kings and nothing for him is impossible. I just hope he give us the opportunity one more time. Keeping you in my prayers. too. Glad to find someone else I can talk to about this.

I saw your message this morning. Thank you for your assurance that God is still watching us.
It was on the 4th of July 2020 that I lost him suddenly. I have been crying to our Lord Jesus ever since. Every morning my mind is awake, I find myself asking Him to raise him from the grave and bring him back to his family and me. I prayed that a miracle would take place before the 4th but instead I had to go to the graveyard and decide a gravestone for him. Our wedding anniversary was exactly a week before and this was the gift I had to decide for him.
I feel terrible and forgotten by God. I thought my mom was also praying with me for this miracle but later on I came to know that it was only to comfort me. Everyone asks me to move on and to get over with this feeling as one can do nothing about it.
Like you and Lizzie I believe that there is no word called ‘impossible’ in God’s dictionary. There’s a Sunday School song that I used to sing as a child and goes as follows ..’ is anything too hard for the Lord? .. No! nothing is too hard for the Lord’.
The words that you KC have expressed are similar to mine. I too feel that I have lost a major part of me. Really wish a miracle will happen very, very soon for all of us. When I go for work or meet anyone I really wonder what is reality,.. is it just words written by someone to keep us hoping and thereby give us a motive to move on? Or are these words of the Bible ‘The’ truth and we can put faith on His promises and wait for a miracle to happen? Before the day of resurrection all of us will be in the grave. But we need a miracle of resurrection now. Will God be moved enough to do it for us? It’s only by His grace and boundless mercy that we can receive this miracle. Is there anything that we must do for our petitions to reach the gates of heaven and be heard by our loving Master?

I know is hard. I can assure you I know your desperation because I feel the same way every single day. My heart aches for you because I know the pain you are going thru. My husband passed away 10 days before my daughters 8th birthday and on top of this our family dog passed away 2 days after my daughters birthday. We lost a husband, father and also our dog that gave so much happiness to my daughter.
God has not forgot about us, I just think our timing is not Gods timing. The bible talks about all his promises but never mentions when. I believe he is helping us standing up every morning. Never think he forgot about you.. remember our faith is tested everyday. When you get that in your mind – go back and say God Im sorry I know you are working and you are here. I do this everyday and he knows this is very hard for us. About your mom don’t feel bad or disappointed. Mine told me immediately that what I was saying was impossible. But for God nothing is impossible. I will keep praying for the desires of my heart and I will rest on him on faith. Not everybody will agree with what we think in regards this subject but Gods miracle didn’t stop at dead and that’s why I don’t understand. I know sometimes is nots Gods will but we have to continue praying and believing. If we don’t ask – is like Matt 7:7 Ask & it will be given to you; seek & you will find; knock & the door will be opened to you.
I can’t stress enough how important has been to be in communion with God because every day I learn something new that helps me. God wants us to believe, faith, hope without doubt. But for this I believe we have to do our part you will feel full of hope and your faith will increase everyday – thru books, podcast and learning the word of God. When you are around only Gods word I feel he talks to me all the time when things happen around me. Even when my faith lows down something comes up to keep that energy at full capacity. Its hard to leave in the spirit and fighting daily with our flesh. I will be praying for you too.
May he give you the desire of your heart & make all your plans succeed. Psalm 20:4
Don’t loose faith and Don’t give up.. Keep standing and see your miracle real.. I try to see it and believe is done.
I feel everything you all have been saying. I lost my husband July 2020 and have been praying ever since for god to give my husband a second chance at life here on earth. He was only 51. I cannot believe this was gods will your him to pass. I try to believe that I have received my prayer and feel like he’s home. It helps for a while and then I wake up in the morning and get discouraged all over again. I haven’t told anyone that I pray for this. I’m sure they would think I’m crazy. Do you all think our loved ones want to come back? I do believe they are in heaven so wonder if it has to be their will to want to come back. It’s almost 2 years now and I know god has his own timing but wonder if this is making it harder for me to accept the fact that my husband is gone. The absolute grief and despair is killing me and it’s so hard to keep the faith. I do feel better hearing all of your thoughts and hope someday we will all be able to say god still does miracles!!!

I know how you feel. I feel the same way is a roller coaster of feelings, questions we don’t have answers for. My husband passed July 2021 and since then I been praying to God to give me another opportunity to him and our family. We have young children too and they miss so much their dad. I know people will think is crazy and I have the same feeling. I told my mother and she said that’s impossible. But for God there is no impossible. But I think this does not happen often because people don’t pray and ask. But the bible mention all these miracles God did. Sometimes, I have the same questions but then I go back and say- I need to have faith I can’t loose my faith. God will test our faith. I will not give up, I will continue to pray for a miracle. We need to pray for each other, get together and in agreement of what we are asking to God.

I can understand how you are feeling as I am in the same situation. Ajay was my best friend and true companion.
There’s not a day that I haven’t prayed to our Lord for a resurrection miracle.
Let’s pray that our Lord Jesus hears our prayer and raises our loved ones from the land if the dead soon.

I miss my fiancé so much I pray that he comes home soon. I know that God can do anything. I pray every single day for him to return home. It’s really hard. I would give anything for him to come home. Please help me pray for him to return home to me.
