Our Salvation Comes With a Lifetime Warranty

When we receive salvation, and are born again by the Spirit of God, all things are made new. And all the things that are made new, the Bible says, are of God. The Bible also says that our youth is to be renewed, just like the Eagle’s.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, and look, new things have come. And all of the new things are from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling (other) people to him. II Corinthians 5:17, 18

Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. Psalm 103:2, 3, 5

Some would teach that the scope of God’s promises are limited to things in the hereafter, or only to spiritual things. To them, God is not so concerned with our physical well-being. I totally disagree. God cares about all aspects of our lives, and the Jesus of the Gospels shows us just that – ‘He went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed by the Devil, for God was with Him.’ (Acts 10:38)

The promises of God are not just for spiritual things. God’s work of salvation takes into account the full scope of our life here in this fallen world. Salvation is for the total man – a redeemed man living in a sinful and dangerous world. Basically, our salvation comes with a comprehensive lifetime warranty. God’s policy is not a limited warranty; His salvation carries full ‘bumper-to-bumper’ coverage for the full length of our life here on earth. The things that we have done in our life do not matter, and the hard mileage we have put on is not a factor – we are fully covered! Repent if need be and He will stand by the warranty.

Each of us has an appointed time to die. However, that time should be determined by God and not by the Devil and his destructive workings in this world. We are to live out our days before God, and fulfill the hopes and the plans He has for us. This is our responsibility and this is our inheritance in Christ.

…having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints… Ephesians 1:18

All of our parts and systems are covered: spiritual, mental, physical, and financial, etc. Every aspect of our life is important to God. Everything that we may need is covered by His grace and love, and is included in the policy. And we find the terms of this policy in the Bible. It is our owner’s manual for living the abundant obedient life. As we study the terms of the policy we find that all is ours in Christ. All of the promises of God are available to us in Jesus Name.

For every one of God’s promises is “Yes” in Him. Therefore, the “Amen” is also spoken through Him by us for God’s glory. II Corinthians 1:20

God’s divine power has given us everything we need for life and for godliness. This power was given to us through knowledge of the one who called us by his own glory and integrity. 2 Peter 1:3

However, this policy must be enforced. This world is evil and it does not want to honor the policy. It must be enforced by force – the force of faith. We are never to take ‘no’ for an answer, ever.

A thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. But I came so that my sheep will have life and so that they will have everything they need. John 10:10

For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. 1 John 5:4

From the time of John the Baptizer until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful people have been seizing it. Matthew 11:12

At some time or another everyone will need to have some type of warranty work done. Those fortunate to have lived long enough know this. God is more than willing to help us but He requires faith. He demands that we know the terms of the policy, and that we believe it. Only when we believe them can they be enforced by God. His words must continually fill our heart and continually come out of our mouths (Joshua 1:8). God wants us to continually speak His answers, not our problems. There is a place and a time to communicate problems but not continually (Matthew 6:7). He desires believers not whiners. This is the ‘walk of faith.’ Believing Him is believing in His faithfulness, and in His willingness to fulfill His side of the agreement.

No one can please God without faith. Whoever goes to God must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6

Faith comes when we know the will of God. We know His general will from the pages of the Bible, and we know His specific will by hearing His voice. His voice will always agree with the Bible, and His voice only comes when we have met the Bible’s conditions. “Faith, the Bible says, comes by hearing the (spoken) words of Christ.” (Romans 10:17) We can only believe what the Bible, and Jesus, say we can believe.

Get your policy out and start reading it today. Then start enforcing it with your faith. If you have work that needs to be done, take it to God; He desires to do it. Do not take no for an answer. In this is God glorified and well pleased.

  4. Some would teach that the scope of God’s promises are limited to things in the hereafter, or only to spiritual things. To them, God is not so concerned with our physical well-being. I totally disagree.

I completely agree with your adamant disagreement toward that belief. As you mentioned God is concerned about ever aspect of our lives. The thing is that if God has made us in His own image, and knowing that we have needs that have to be met why shouldn’t He care?

Just take a look at this following verse which plainly shows how Christ feels when seeing men struggling with various types of sicknesses.

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd (Matthew 9:36).

Arold – Yes, and they would say that the reason that Jesus healed them was not because they needed healing, but rather, so that He could manifest and show that He was God. Read this from a prominent reformed oriented site:

“All the miracles of Jesus pointed to him as the Messiah. Jesus did not just heal the sick and raise the dead for the express purpose of taking suffering away, but to produce the credentials of his kingdom.”

That is sick. Basically, they are saying that the healings of Jesus were self serving, and the whole thing was fake and contrived. Jesus heals for one simple reason – people need healing. His compassion is not fake , it is as real as His power to save and heal.

Great comments. Thank you and God bless. Rex
