my_head_dark_space_300-webSTOP, DON’T DO IT! Take hope! You have options that you cannot see right now! It is not that you do not have options, it is just that you cannot see them. Evil forces can cloud our minds from seeing the hope that is there. You have an opportunity of a better day. It is real and it is out there. It is coming. Let God open your eyes to it and let Him do it for you. Give Him a chance to give you a chance. We love you and He loves you.

You have good options, you just can’t see them now.

Only the word of God can strip away the darkness so that we can see the brightness. You are in the dark simply because you cannot see the light. Hurt and hopelessness work together to block the light. The light is actually all around you. MAKE YOURSELF read the following scriptures, even if you feel absolutely nothing. The deadness will leave. Hope and light will seep into your heart. Do it!

Anyone who is among the living has hope. Ecclesiastes 9:4

Suicidal thoughts only survive within an outlook of complete hopelessness. Hope, true Bible hope, is the best antidote for hopelessness. Take the hope that is resident in the promises of God and put it into your heart. Your outlook will change. God has a wonderful habit of raising individuals out of impossible situations. He enjoys doing it, and it brings Him glory. The Bible is full of stories of people, just like you, that were delivered out of extremely dangerous and potentially embarrassing situations – including His own son, Jesus. You are no different. Reject the guilt and shame, and absorb His love, forgiveness, and hope. You will make it out of this situation! The darkness will not last. That is the real truth, but for it to work, you must see it as truth and believe it. This is where reading, speaking, and meditating God’s promises comes in. They will grow hope and belief in your heart. ALSO, PLEASE READ THIS – Helping Others Is God’s Prescription for Depression.

Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down (depression), but a good word cheers it up. Proverbs 12:25 Holman Christian Standard Bible

Allow God’s good word to cheer you up. God’s word is the only true source of hope because it shows the will of Him who can help. Allow the hope of a good result to seep back into your heart. Suicide is the extreme dead-end of hopelessness. Allowing thoughts of hopelessness to control your thinking narrows and darkens your path till suicide appears to be the only option, BUT IT IS NOT. There are plenty of other solutions; you just can’t see them now because hopelessness has blinded you to them. The hope that is resident in the promises of God will open the eyes of your heart, and you will be able to see again. It will get brighter.

Suicide only appears like an option when the devil has hidden all your other options. Allow the Bible to open your eyes.

You will have to work at it. You will not feel like it. Do it anyway, your life depends on it, and contrary to what you are feeling, YOUR LIFE IS WORTH IT. Suicide is a permanent solution to an intense but short term problem. Don’t do it!

“Do not be a fool–why die before your time?” Ecclesiastes 7:17b

This may sound harsh but the hard truth is this – the thought to end one’s life is foolish – and once you step back and see it for what it really is, you will understand. Do not despair; it will get better. The power to deliver is resident in His word. Put it to work for you. Relax and make yourself read these scriptures and let God’s word do the rest:

You are my lamp O Lord; the Lord turns my darkness into light. 2 Samuel 22:29

But you will not need to fight! Take your places; stand quietly and see the incredible rescue operation God will perform for you, Oh people of Judah and Jerusalem! Don’t be afraid or discouraged! Go out there tomorrow, for the Lord is with you! 2 Chronicles 20:17

You have granted me life and favor, and Your care has preserved my spirit. Job 10:12

I will lie down in peace and sleep, for though I am alone, Oh Lord, you will keep me safe. Psalms 4:8

For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield. Psalm 5:12

No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame. Psalm 25:3

You are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. Psalm 25:5

You are my hiding place from every storm of life; You even keep me from getting into trouble! You surround me with songs of victory. Don’t be like a senseless horse or mule that has to have a bit in its mouth to keep it in line! Psalms 32:7-9

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all. Psalm 34:18, 19

If the Lord delights in a man’s way, he makes his steps firm; though he stumbles, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand. Psalm 37:23, 24

If I keep my part of the promise by staying steadfastly focused on the Lord Jesus Christ, He will keep His promise to give me His perfect peace. Isaiah 26:3-4 See also Philippians 4:6-7 below)

And the ransomed of the Lord will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away. Isaiah 35:10

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

No, I will not abandon you or leave you as orphans in the storm – I will come to you. John 14:18

I am leaving you with a gift – peace of mind and heart! And the peace I give isn’t fragile like the peace the world gives. So don’t be troubled or afraid. John 14:27

We are saved by trusting. And trusting means looking forward to getting something we don’t yet have – for a man who already has something doesn’t need to hope and trust that he will get it. But if we must keep trusting God for something that hasn’t happened yet, it teaches us to wait patiently and confidently. Romans 8:24-25

For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. Romans 15:4

II Corinthians 7:6-7

I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. Ephesians 1:18-19

There is one body and one Spirit – just as you were called to one hope when you were called–one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. Ephesians 4:4-6

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

  1. The word of God is living u must meditate and listen to it audibly for faith comes from hearing the word of God. When u praise n worship u invite the holy spirit. Put praise music on all day clearing the atmosphere. Have the christian channel on listen to the wrd. I was able to faith my family into the Lord. Do u tithe. The Lord will rebuke the devorer for u when u tithe. No joke. Test him. I did.

  2. I am so overwhelmed with depression I feel so broken and alone. I haven’t worked in awhile. Last year my son was hospitalized and suicidal. I feel like I’m out of chances with God I don’t know what i believe I’m scared. I can’t seem to fix myself to start functioning again. I don’t want to die but I don’t know how to come thru this.

    1. Pam, we don’t know you but we love you in Jesus. Whatever happens, God promises to walk with us through trials and tribulations. Take hold of His promises. Start with one above which stands out to you. Tell it to yourself all day long. Memorize it. And trust that though this life is difficult, He will not let you go. Praying.

    2. I rebuke in the name of Jesus the Spirit of fear. I speak the peace of God will surpass all your understanding and guard your heart and mind. I declare the God of Peace is with you. You can never escape the love of God. God great mercy on new every morning. In the Name of Jesus I take of that sack cloth in Jesus Name. Amen

    3. My son is 16 and is depressed and refusing to go to school, he is searching and said he doesn’t believe in god because he has asked him to reveal himself to him and has got nothing. I don’t know what to do at this point except pray. He told me he thinks about suicide everyday, can anyone give me any suggestions on what I should do at this point?

      1. Has he spoken with any counselors? Talking of suicide is high risk. I think the author of this blog put some phone numbers for counselors but if not try 1-800-273-8255. And keep praying; we serve a prayer-hearing God. He can call down resources to help. His mercies are new every morning. Speak the truths of Scripture to him as well; God’s word will not return void. Praying.

      2. Dear Valarie,

I am not sure how old this person is. They seem like they may be a teenager or an adult. I remember when I was a suicidal team I did not have anyone that I felt comfortable telling about my feelings. Your situation is different because he has you to talk to. That means a lot! Listen to his feelings and accept them unconditionally. Have him draw, paint, or write or do something physical. This lets out pent-up feelings so that they are released. You should remove any guns or straight razor blades from the house. Encourage him to share his feelings with you but if he expresses that his suicidal feelings are overwhelming, you may need to call 911.
Understand that depression and suicidal feelings come with distorted thinking and this may be difficult to overcome. For some people the solution is medication or natural herbs for depression. But definitely get him professional counseling as well.

I created a website that is for people who feel suicidal. The website helps people to find meaning in life and to understand God better. It is I created this website when Robin Williams died, because I really loved him and I wanted to do something to help people who are suicidal.

The God thing is difficult for many people. Ever since sin entered the world, God and man have been separated. It is difficult to have faith in God since we cannot see him. But it is also a test of faith! It would not be a test if God were visible. God reveals himself to those who choose to believe in Him. It starts with a leap of faith.

When I ask a question of God and I get no answer, to me that means that God wants me to do what I would normally do if I had to decide by my own logic. God only answers if it is necessary for him to answer. It is a point worth talking about. If God’s answer is necessary, then he will answer by giving a person I thought in their head or an impression. It is very rare that God speaks audibly.

Encourage your son to believe that God loves him. Here is a good verse: John 3:16 for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Encourage your son to be leave that God has a plan for him. He may not know what the plan is right now, but he must have faith that he was born for a reason. His future may be happy, but he has to get through these difficult times. My life has changed dramatically. I was suicidal for the whole first half of my life. Now I live a very happy life. I am married and I work as a school nurse. I am glad that my experience can help others who have felt the way I felt.

  3. I’ve been reading the crying out for help in each situation & I’ll be laying before God on behalf of every situation. Keep trusting God.

    1. Dear Crying

(((hugs))) You are not alone. I’m so sorry you’re in so much pain. I’m praying for you. God loves you so much. You’re His baby. He didn’t bring pain and horror and depression into this world. Depression is such a heavy cross to bear. Ask Christ to please carry it for you for a little bit so you can catch your breath. You’re going to make it. You’ve made it through every crappy horrible thing that ever happened to you. You’ve survived dark days. And you’re going to survive this one. Because you are going to let Christ carry your cross so you can recover. And you’re going to take a hot shower and pray for a spirit and peace to flood your soul. And then you’re going to go for a walk and search for beauty in everything and everyone you encounter. And you’re going to be okay

  5. if i commit suicide will i go to heaven . i am at the end point now, i don’t know what to do

    1. anonymous I don’t know, but what I do know is you would only consider such an act to seek relief from your pain and happiness in release. I don’t know what is going on in your world. But I know this: Take your burdens to Jesus. His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Then ask Him for those good works to walk in that you may find your happiness in bringing happiness to Jesus. Have you ever taken the Good Person test? Praying.

    2. Hang in there! Im sure you are going thru a lot but remember that your emotions cannot kill you. You can withstand even this and God will bring you through alive. Time will bring you to a better place and perhaps a happy and content life. We cannot know. Only God knows. This is a test of obedience and loyalty to God. If He wanted you to die, He would have taken you. He wants you to live. He has a plan for you. Trust Him!
To answer your question: to go to heaven you must repent of your sins. But suicide often ends a persons life before they can sincerely repent. Even so, I believe in my heart that it is Gods call. He says, “I will have mercy upon whom I have mercy.” Dont take a chance. You are too precious to take this lightly. Open Gods word and learn what He has to teach you. I would recommend the books of Matthew Mark Luke John and James. Feel free to read from the middle of each book. Read James 4:7 “Submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” You may not understand all that you read. Hold your questions until the time that God will reveal the answers. This is also a test. You must have faith that “God is love.” 1 John 4:7-8. That is the first letter of John, not the gospel of John. You can trust God if you are willing to believe that He is sinless and He is love. He will never leave you or forsake you.

Here is a suicide hotline if you need it: 800-273-8255. I have to go to work now but will pray for you during transit. Remember, you can pray by talking to God in your mind just the same way you would talk to a friend. Pour your heart out to Him and ask Him to reveal His love for you.
My suicide prevention website is It is a Site that helps people to find meaning in life and to find God. Blessings my friend!

  6. I hear you ma’am. Thinking long and hard about this, I realized that there is never one answer for the problems that you go through.
I am glad you are where you are spiritually and of the decision that you made giving your life to Christ. That is by far the greatest thing you could’ve done for your life. Christ will ensure that you’ll never lose hope in His power and all things good. But by now you must’ve realized that He didn’t promise you a on easy life.

Your boyfriend is in a very tough situation I have to admit. Unfortunately you cannot help help him unless he wants it. Now the question is “if I let him be, what will happen to him?” This is a reasonable question. I’ve asked that many times… And I mean many. This is ultimately a matter of faith. You have shown the message to him. The seed is planted. I do believe that it’s a seed that will flourish in time. But it’ll only work if you stop trying to water it.

The best thing you can do for that man is be there for him. Let him know that he is not alone and that as long as you live, he’ll never be. Encourage him daily. Let him know that there’s reason to hope in greater things. Then in time, God will let him know. Be a good friend to him. And I mean a good friend. And good friends don’t lose hope in each other. This all seems clichè but it’s true.

Saul lost his kingdom because he chose to take things into his own hands. You will lose him if you do the same. Trust in God. And be patient. Its all really in his time. Not ours.

I’ll be praying for ya. There’s a saying that goes “if you think a flower in a garden is beautiful, dont take it with you, it’ll dry up and die”. Rather let it grow and admire it from a distance. Water it if you want, but don’t take its growth into your own hands. Let nature take care of it for it has been since the beginning of time and its birth.

    Trust God. Farewell ma’am

  7. I have a boyfriend I’ve known for almost 3 years but only started dating less than two months ago. I’ve been a christian my whole life but i just really gave my life to Christ in May this year, 2017. Before my salvation we used to talk about a lot of things that weren’t particularly “christian”, send pictures, you know the kind i mean. now, when we started dating he knew about my salvation and i made it clear that i wasn’t the same person and some things were gonna have to change. he would have to stop taking drugs and i couldnt be vulgar anymore, word or picture-wise. he agreed but recently, he asked for something i couldnt consent to and it started a fight. he then made me understand something about his past. his mother was a good christian through and through and she prayed and led people to Christ but she was depressed and she poisoned herself, for two years after that, his dad abandoned him and his brothers because he didnt want to be reminded of his wife. now, his dad is remarried and he has four step-siblings, he’s happy, or at least, okay with his life but he cant and wont get over what happened with his mom. to him, grace does not exist because he thinks its “rather ironic seeing as she lived her life for a creator who has now sent her to hell because she had a psychological disorder that cos her her life” his own words. it didnt help either that his dad is a deacon in the church and still abandoned them. also, we’re from nigeria where things like these are often stigmatised, so, even his immediate christian family wasn’t very nice about it. he thinks religion is a scam. i know the bible says not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers but the bible also says to win souls for him, not to mention that i’m really in love with this guy. he’s been about me for all of three years even when we were just friends, asides not being a christian, i see a huge future ahead of him but i feel he won’t really get the best out of his life with all that hurt and unforgiveness towards God and christianity inside him. i’ve been up for hours trying to get scriptures down to show him and a way to even broach the subject and make him understand some principles but i still need help on how to go about it. it also doesnt help that the bible did “condemn” his mothe to hell, being a suicide, though i dont know the exact scripture. at this point, even if we break up, which would be sad cos we’ve talked about marriage, all i want is to see him saved in the same understanding that i have of God’s divine love. he’s too precious to live in sin. help, please.

    1. the fight started when he asked for pictures and i told him that my new grace didnt permit me to expose my body how i liked and i wont take it for granted. he then spoke about how he gave up drugs cos of me even though it had survived a lot of friends and lovers and trials in his life. that’s how much he thinks of me. so, i somehow know that if anyone could change his life, it’d be me. i just needa know how so i dont blow this one chance.

      1. Author

It is not your job to change him, “if anyone could change his life, it’d be me.” Besides, you can’t. He will only drag you down. You know this. I am sorry but you have to break it off. There is no other option. It is not Godly. I am not a judgemental person. I am not a hard-nosed religious type, but you have to leave. It is the craps; I know that, but the crappy part is where you are now. Fixing it is hard in a lot of ways but it is right. You are emotionally bonded to him through living together and sex. You are not in love with him. You will know it when you meet someone whom you truly love, and who truly loves you. That is your goal – not the current guy ‘you can change.’

I do not believe that people who commit suicide go to Hell. If she went there it was for other reasons but not that. This is tough but it is not God’s fault and it is not a sign that grace is powerless or a joke. Unfortunately, she had a severe problem. Hopefully she is in Heaven and it is all over. His dad sounds like a carnal Christian, and of course he needs to get his life right.

God is beginning to speak to you again, and apparently not him. You can’t change that. You can’t make God speak to him (if he is not) and you can’t make him listen. You will not save him by marrying him. You know that hope is just crazy.

      2. His Project, praying for you. That’s a tough situation.

Many have tried and failed evangelism by marriage, with much grief in the end. The command to not be unequally yoked and the command to make disciples for Jesus are not mutually exclusive. You can still win a soul for Christ without marrying that person, by being a good friend. And in time if he comes to Christ, fantastic, then he might be worthy of marriage.

But you are free! You don’t have to be his savior. He can come to Jesus with or without you. This frees you to dedicate your life to Jesus in whole service. If you go into marriage and find that he doesn’t repent and trust in the savior you will commit to a very difficult life with many trials and temptations. But if you dedicate your singleness to Jesus, you cannot lose. And then maybe one day he repents and you can consider marriage.

A good place to meditate on is 1 Corinthians 7. Lots of good advice there.

Praying you make a wise move.

    2. Who do you love more, him or God? If you love God more, do the Word, trust God, and pray for this young man. He needs God more than he needs you. He cannot see God as long as you stand as a god in his life. Get out of the way and let God in. You are so locked into this man because you have a soul tie. Break it now, in Jesus Name! Marriage is no longer an option for you as long as this man remains unsaved. Besides you don’t want to marry and have to submit to a man who does not believe in the One you believe in. So, let him go and let God. Trust God, who knows what He is doing.

  8. I am 21 year old , I broke up with my girlfriend a year back , I had no reason to live , but somehow I made some reasons for myself cause I knew that we should never loose hope and commit suicide , and I also knew that the life which we are leading came with a price and Jesus payed the price for each and everyone’s life ,. But I am just not happy with myself , I was loving my girlfriend a lot , I am Christian she was not , I was planning to ask her to follow Jesus Christ like me but we broke up ,. Now I am all alone , I feel so depressed , I am doing a course which I don’t like , but still I managed to think positive and look forward for great things I changed my thinking , I trying very hard to change my style , but somehow I feel like no matter what I do I will always be unhappy , I see other people leading there life peacefully , but I am not able to , I feel god to far away from me . From last one month I am feeling suicidal , I don’t want to die , but I fear to commit suicide , I never want to commit suicide , I want to lead a happy life an independent life , strong and prosperous life , and I am still anxious about myself , I have lost confidence on myself.

    1. Manoj I’m glad you’re here looking at God’s promises. They give hope and life. May you find in them a reason to press on. I did! Praying for you.

  9. I’ve always been suicidal, but also a Christian. I had a life I should have fought harder for, Wife, 3 young beautiful kids and in the last year I lost it all. Divorced and fired in December, failed suicide attempts in January, then to a mental institution. Then in March another attempt with my car that failed and resulted in a DUI and another trip to an institution. Now I wait to hear my fate in court while my money runs out and I cant pay my child support or insurance for my kids and I’m still suicidal…I’m at the end and I don’t know what to do.

    1. Travis may these promises warm your heart. They fight suicide by breaking through the lies of the enemy. “Life is too difficult.” “It is written, ‘come to me and I will give you rest.'” May you drink them in and consume them. May they be your food. Lifting you up.

    2. Author

Travis – What I am about to say is not some fake positive church stuff – God can put it all back together everything that the Devil has torn apart. Sure, you caused it with many of the actions, but it was the Devil pulling the strings.

Give the whole thing, and yourself, to God fully and totally. Cry out for His mercy. Talk to Him as if you really were talking to the God of the universe, the One Who make everything and can change everything. I will send you an email to contact me.

Start at the front page of our site and read all the articles that jump out at you. Trust God, He is big enough and caring enough. He won’t turn back time but He can turn the situation around. Don’t feel guilty about not fighting harder then, but do it now. We love you.

    3. Where there is life, there is hope that someday you will be happy and have your chance to glorify God. Right now you are glorifying Him in the only possible way you can: you refuse to let the Devil win. This is admirable. It is like Job who went through such adversity and said, “the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the Lord.” Its true that the Lord allows adversity. But its the Devil that causes it. Read Job 1. Yet Job stood for the Lord! And he was glad he did because the Lord gave him back even more than what he had before: wealth, a new family, new friends, true blessings. You are being tested. But the experience and God will make you and re-create you. After you come through this, you will have unparalleled compassion. You will help others. You will have empathy for others. You will do much to serve the Lord. This world has much pain and heartache. Hold out to the very end of Gods plan for you. You are eligible to see the face of God someday! This is the God that willed the Garden of Eden for all of us. He is the God that knows how to balance the mind. He makes everything for our happiness. After the second coming, He will recreate the world by speaking it back into existence as a paradise for you! Believe that He has a future for you! Believe that God is good and can and will get you through this! is my ministry website for people that have this problem. I went through it. All my life was suicidal. I am happy today. It is possible! You can bear all things through Christ who strengthens you. Bear this for Christ who bore the cross for you. But also take actions to get better. Commit to your recovery. Work with your doctor and therapist. Eat healthy. Exercise. Try to think positive. You can make up your own positive affirmations and visualizations and say them every day. You will eventually believe them and change the course of your life.
It is possible to still find yourself a mate that truly loves you, but remember that you must not expect a mate to meet all your needs. You must meet some, and friends and possibly family must meet other needs. Healthy, balanced give and take relationships will work for you. A mate is not the answer right now. You and God are the answer! Begin with an offering to God, such as a song, a prayer of praise, and if you can, thank Him for getting you through this far. Thank Him that He will give you a new beginning. Thank Him for dying on the cross for you. Make this day a turning point. Turn your thoughts to a future with Him. You still have some consequences to pay. However this is your chance to glorify God by owning your actions. What you did in despair was a choice. You only have one option that is right in the sight of God. Pay whatever you have to, so that you may repent and leave despair behind. Give despair to God and never look back. Move forward in Christ! We all make mistakes. We all act without thinking of possible outcomes. It is human. But from now on you know: you must think ahead and make decisions that you know you can live with. This is real. Everything matters. Everything counts. We will all face judgment. But for you, it will pass over you because Christ is your advocate. Commit to Him. Thank Him. I am so grateful that your life is preserved! You still have a chance. God will give you what you need. I will pray for you.

    4. Travis,

You have the absolute right to be free! There is tremendous hope for you and everyone else who is struggling with problems! God is a God of Freedom and Deliverance. Jesus tells his disciples that this kind comes out through fasting and prayer. I have seen astounding results when a person fasts (fasting could be giving up something as simple as bread or meat or a complete meal) for a number of days – I personally fast for three days, and reading God’s word (the Gospels) during your fast. You may also need to analyze your life and see if there are any open doors that may have allowed the evil one to take a foothold in your life and too include any generational curses and strong holds. 5. Hi Travis
I don’t know why you are suffering as you are. But God does and you cannot see yet the outcome of all this. God works all things for good to those who love him and are called . Job was in a pit also. Nothing because of him, but God showed Job a faithful man before his friends.
I will pray for you your wife and children. You can’t see the outcome of this trial. But trust God even in the darkness he will reveal himself. I woke this morning thinking of my brother who is now 61 and has had mental torment most of his adult life. I see him struggle with addiction and a religion that offers him no peace. My daughter messaged me she dreamed he killed himself just now. God rouses his people to pray. He will undertake for you also. I pray you are ok as I read this a month after your post.

  10. please pray for my son.he drinks everyday after work,he works out in the sun ,,and ilove him so much.

  11. I was on the brink and wanted to give the Bible one last try I came here and I’m not going to die.

Anonymous – That’s right you are not going to die. You have hope and you are going to live out your days. And with God’s help they will be better days – days worth living. We love you. Rex

  12. Sorry it took me so long to write back! Anyway, your situation sounds painful. God is here to comfort you. You may choose to try to change your focus. We dont choose our families and they can be difficult to influence or control. But there is so much to life! Focus on things you can influence or change. Look for people you can help to make their day brighter. Depression is a sort of looking inwards. Thats why its so important to get out of ourselves. Our minds can be dangerous territory! Focus on what is positive, kind, loving, generous. Others who see the change in you may follow your lead.

  13. Praying, Help. You asked, what should you do? The only thing you can do: Hope in God. He has given you many promises in His Word that are just for times like these.

One promise I delight in is knowing that in the New Earth that Jesus is going to make, our relationship with animals is going to be totally amazing. A wolf will lie down with baby calves. A little kid could stick his hand in the den of a snake and not be harmed. That same kid will lead them all along as a friend to animals. It’ll be so cool.

Don’t you look forward to that? I do. It helps me to push on, knowing that He will one day soon make all that is wrong, right again. No more divorce, ever. No more split families. No more ALS. No more losing dogs or horses. It’ll be amazing. Everything broken in this world will be healed 1000x over.

That helps me to persevere. May God’s promises help you to keep on going. He’s worth it.

  14. Last year shortly after my grandma on my dad’s side died from ALS, everything in my life changed. It wasn’t my grandma’s death that turned my life upside down, but what happened after that. My mom and my dad’s family have never gotten along, and after the funeral, my parents got in a huge fight. They told me they would be separated for a little bit, which turned into my dad filing for divorce. I was so sad and angry at him when he told me.. A broken family had always been one of my worst fears when I was little, and I never could have imagined my parents splitting up, or hating each other like they do now. It’s just a little over a year later now, and my parents still fight pretty much every day over email. Both parents talk badly about the other when I am at their house. I feel pressured by my mom to not grow up and become like my dad. I feel my dad often lies, but my mom seems to lie about my dad too sometimes. I’m an only child and I feel like I’m caught in the middle of a massive whirlwind. I can’t wait to move out on my own so I don’t have to be in the middle of this mess, but that won’t be for at least 4 or 5 years. I love my parents, but they make this really hard on me sometimes. I have had suicidal thoughts, and continue to have them, but I love God and want to live out his plan for me. I just don’t know if I can make it through this storm, or if this storm will ever end. What should I do?? Please pray for me. Thank you

    1. I forgot to add that my mom is extremely low on money right now. We have horses and dogs that are very dear to me, and we already have to sell one horse. What if we have to sell them all? I know they are just possessions, but they’re like my friends.

Help! – We will pray for you. Read some of the articles on this site about faith and peace. Anything that jumps out at you. If you don’t have one, find a good church and get some good Christian friends to talk to and pray with. You will get thru this. It does suck though and we love you. We also pray for your extended family (your dogs and horses). I understand how important that it. They are family.

Also, read about depression. It is usually as spirit (demon) that takes advantage of an event in our lives – like a death or a family separation. Read this – Depression Is a Spirit – It Must Be Fought with the Word of God and You’ve Got to Have Hope. We love you. Rex

    3. I will Pray for You. Divorce is hard and parents should put the children before themselves..and God before all.

  15. Dear hopeless girl
My name is Gene. I too am in your place. We must stick together. We must give the burden to God. It is too heavy to bear alone. Trust in the lord.
We all know that you are a pure and wonderful person. Just keep moving forward. You deserve to be happen again. I also feel this black cloud and the twisted stomach. Just keep moving. You must go into the sun. Take a walk no matter how short. You will meet people. Talk to them. They will get your mind off the darkness. I met a little old lady yesterday and we are now praying for each other
Well sad girl this guy will say a prayer for you.
Dear God please smile down on hopeless girl. She will get better. She needs time and for you to smile upon her. Lord she is like a flower that is transplanted.
She will wilt a little but with our prayers she will get better. Please God help this beautiful person to have hope and to be happy again. Dear God in heaven give her strength. She is so good and deserving of your graces.
I pray to you for her happiness and to bring up from her deep sadness.
    Thinking of you sad girl
    Gene neri

  16. Hope less sad girl I am praying for you dear.Spirit of depression sadness death, suicide leave me NOW in Jesus name never to return .lord Jesus fill me with your love peace and joy,you can do the impossible, you are my only Hope, give me the mind of Christ let me feel your sweet presence around me ,darkness diminishes for the name of Jesus.i am the child of the most high God,

  17. Paul that’s the start of some great theology there. Except it is not the end. The same God who permitted Satan to afflict Job healed him as well. The man born blind was healed. I had depression for nine years and it is gone. He can and does still work miracles; He just does not promise physical healing in this lifetime, that is at His wonderful discretion. The same Paul who was used of God so mightily to heal so many told Timothy to drink some wine as medicine 🙂

So yes, depression is part of the fall. And yes, it will all be gone in the new earth. But at times and in ways, sometimes it can be healed. I am a living testimony to that.

  18. Everyone forgets that depression is a medical condition. God created it along with psychiatrists and counselors. Jesus suffered because it was God’s will for him to suffer. God didn’t save his son from suffering, he put him there. God says that he creates everyone and knows them even before they are born. He chooses in my opinion for some to suffer and others not. This is why things like alcoholism and depression run in families many times. So this idea that we can just choose to not be depressed is rediculous. The reason God doesn’t help is because it was his will in the first place. So I’m just praying against what his will was originally. This is painful for me to say having had a good Christian upbringing and a faithful view of God but it’s his choice not to respond.

  19. I will pray for you. Turn to our Heavenly Father and hand your depression over to Him. Ask Him to empty you of all sadness and fill you with His love. He’s waiting for you to ask Him. He loves you! He created you! You are His precious child! Ask Him to take all darkness away and to show you light, love, peace, grace, and all that is good. When He does this for you perhaps you can share it with someone else who’s battling depression. I’m sharing my hope and faith with you. May God shower you with happiness and hope and show you your purpose in this life. Amen ❤

  20. HopelessSadGirl I am so sorry. I am familiar with depression myself. The good news about depression is it is not reality. You can tell yourself, “I only feel hopeless. I am not really hopeless.”

Have another look at the promises on this page. They are life and light. Memorize them and repeat them often.

  21. I Feel my Heart Is vary Heavy Vary Hopeless Like My Hope Is Been Took in Away I Feel Worthless Hopeless Like Noting In My Life Is Gonna Get Better I Feel a Black Cloud Over Me And It Won’t Go Away Noting Makes Me Happy Anymore I Wake Up Every Morning Wishing I Was Dead No Hope Two Get Up And Start My Day No encouragement Just Hopelessness Please Pray for Me

  22. Jane I am praying for you. You must be devastated. I’m glad you’re here, asking for help. God is moving through you to seek after Him.

About your first question, “What path should I take,” I encourage you to open your Bible to James chapter 1. Look at and think about that chapter. It has much help for your situation. For example I’ve prayed verse 5 over and over and I’ve lost track how many times that prayer has been answered. So helpful.

About your second question, “How can you cheat and still tell someone you love them?” It always helps me to remember Romans 12:19-21. Those verses remind me that God is not going to always let the wicked man get away. He is going to ensure all sins are paid for either on the cross or in hell, with no exceptions. This frees us to “overcome evil with good,” knowing that all injustices will be paid back very soon.

    Lifting you up.

  23. Last year was so hard for me I found out that my husband was having an affair fkr several months while I was pregnant. It all makes sense know why he pushed me to go work right away a week after I had the baby. I know struggle with constant reminder of what he did even though I chose to forgive him. I feel so used and feel hopeless like i need time to heal, i feel so depressed. I need prayer i dont know what to do. What path should I take? I feel like I have no where to go since we have a karge family. How can you cheat and still tell someone you love them?
